Wood has special relevance in this project. In the rooms where items are on permanent display, the horizontal planes, floors and ceilings, are very dark. The wooden floor of almost black "rosewood", and the continuous and black roof, make up a very closed and dark "box" or chest. The very deep exterior skylight area on the façade are clad with Canadian cedar wood. The interior patio floors are made with Ipe wood.
