Eichendorff School, Stuttgart

The architects at Hausmann have designed this primary school project in Stuttgart aware that the general view of teaching is changing. Also with regard to architecture.

The class as a concept is still valid, but it is no longer the only, primordial space. Now is the time to prepare different areas and structural, multi-functional solutions that make way for complementary teaching and learning methods.

At the same time, luminosity has conquered its own significance as the ingredient that strengthens study and learning. In this project the light is multiplied thanks to warm and sustainable wooden curtain walling made of oak glulam beams with the CE marking for structural use.
